東京造形大学絵画科卒業後ファインアーティストから,独学でファッションデザイナーに転進する
「THE VIRIDI-ANNE」の意味は特に設定しておらず、絵の具で3価のクロム化合物を含む緑色の顔料VIRIDIAN(ヴィリジアン)から
インスピレーションを受けた造語
黒を基調とした洗練されたデザイン、知的で繊細なディティールとマテリアル
壁に飾る服ではなく、着る人間いて成り立つリアルクローズを追及する
The Designer
Name : Tomoaki Okaniwa
Bio : The Designer studied fine art… and oil-painting in Tokyo . He started 〝The Viridi-Anne〟Label when he decided he wanted to create something that could connect to people on the street rather than just hang on a wall in a gallery.Concept
The main concept is based on the idea of the beauty of simplicity and the effects of time. Artisanal design with roots in the japanese 〝zen〟 ideal of ʻwabi-sabiʼ thus incorporating the beauty of unconventionality , imperfection , incompleteness and affects of natural processes remixed by a contemporary cutting edge vision.
To explore the mysterious traces left by time , erosion , corruption, climate , environment and man himself . The effects of dark and light , violence and care , moisture and aridity , newness and age.
